Common Experience Summer Reading
The 2008 Common Experience will begin with the summer reading book, Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace – One School at a Time, by Greg Mortenson and David Relin, which incorporates the theme for this year’s Common Experience, “Mapping the Future, Sharing the World”. Author Greg Mortenson will be giving a kenote lecture on Septeber 26, at 3:00pm in the Open Air Theater. Learn more!

We highly recommend if you are on Academic Probation or have any other major academic concerns that you send her an email atcompactscholars@gmail.com or give her a call at 619-594-3803. This way we can schedule a time to review your academic concerns, assess your needs, and create a plan to guide you to academic success.
Scholars for Success Student Organization
Scholars for Success is a student organization that was established in Fall 2007. Scholars for Success gives you the opportunity to get to know fellow Scholars while participating in social and academic programs. We are also looking for Scholars to become officers, which is a great way to get involved while developing your leadership skills.
Share Your Story: Are you a First-Generation college student?
We are looking for first-generation college students who are willing to share their story and the experiences that lead them to college. Our goal is to be able to share first-generation stories to honor those who lived them and inspire other students to achieve their educational goals. Compact for Success Student Advisor
This opportunity will allow you to work with students in the Sweetwater Union High School District and help them stay on the track to college. Advisors are hired annually. Download .pdf for more information.
Study Abroad Incentive Scholarship
This scholarship is to support study, research, or internship in SDSU-approved programs/course(s) abroad. Applications will be accepted from students in the Compact Scholars Program who are enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at San Diego State University. Applicants must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at the time of application and maintain their good standing to receive award money. Get Application
