Group Photo 2006
On Saturday, August 26, 2006, the inaugural class of Compact Scholars were invited to take a group photo on the Free Speech steps at Aztec Center. In the fall of 2006, SDSU welcomed 203 Compact Scholars to campus. After the picture was taken, students and their families went over to Cox Arena to participate in the New Student and Family Convocation.Just as commencement is a ritual marking the completion of study, convocation is a ritual that signals the beginning of a college career, and serves as the official welcome to new students and their families to the academic community.
New Student and Family Convocation for 2007 will take place Saturday, August 25.
