FSP Mission

As students prepare to leave high school and transition to college life, studies show that two of their primary concerns are getting good grades and meeting new friends/becoming part of the campus community. For more than 20 years, the mission of FSP has been to address these concerns by providing incoming freshmen with tools to facilitate a successful transition into college life.

The Importance of First Year Programs

Research indicates that freshmen who participate in a first year program create important relationships that help them bond to their campus; thus, they are more likely to return as sophomores and continue on a path toward graduation.

A Note From the Director

As FSP Director, I continue to be committed to helping students and in making a difference for them, their future, and the future of our world.
