Students are presently surprised to learn that they may use their state and federal financial aid on approved study abroad programs. In fact, over $280,000 in aid was distributed to study abroad students last year alone. For students participating in one of SDSU's own semester or year programs (including ISEP, CSU-IP, exchanges and departmental programs) in addition to their state and federal aid, students may also take departmental or university sponsored aid.

Students in the University Honors Program should apply for the UHP Study Abroad Scholarship.
Students in the Compact Scholars program and Liberal Studies majors are encouraged to apply for the new DUS Study Abroad Incentive Scholarship.
