Biography:

Lawana Indermill is a transplanted West Virginian who lived in several different states before settling in San Diego where she earned both her bachelors (English) and masters (American Studies) degrees at San Diego State University. She taught in the Department of English for more than ten years and was appointed Liberal Studies faculty adviser in 1991. In 1993 she became a full time staff adviser in the University Advising Center where she remained until 2002 when she joined the Liberal Studies team as program adviser. Her job is to ascertain that accurate, consistent, and timely information is available to and understood by Liberal Studies students. Performing that job involves face-to-face interviews, electronic correspondence, record keeping, and information gathering and publishing.

Her personal interests include crossword puzzles, reading, quilting, baseball, and travel.
