The Division of Undergraduate Studies provides academic advising and support services to incoming freshman students who are undecided on a major.  Upon entering SDSU, incoming undeclared freshmen are introduced to an array of services designed to assist them in choosing a major.

tips for selecting a majorUndeclared freshmen attend an “Undecided College Session” during orientation to introduce them to the support services available at SDSU.  In addition to assisting students in developing their education plan, DUS is working closely with the Career Center to further assist students through the process of choosing a major that is right for them.

Important reminder: Students who have earned 70 units must declare a major before they are allowed to register for any SDSU courses.   Most students declare by the end of their sophomore year.
